Happy Retirement, Jean!
May 6, 2024
Farewell to Jean O'Donald, as she embarks on a new chapter after over eight years of dedicated service at Venetian Gardens. As a registered nurse, Jean tirelessly cared for our 200-unit community during the night shift, leaving an unforgettable mark on all she encountered. Hailing from Cincinnati, Ohio, Jean's journey led her to pursue her nursing license from Christ Hospital and UC after graduating from CNE High School.
Beyond her professional duties, Jean's strength and dedication shone through as a single mother of four - James, Kirsten, Kathaline, and Gretchen. She balanced her responsibilities with grace, finding joy in baking, quilting, and serving her community, including preparing desserts for the Wayne Township Fire Department's fish fry.
Jean's tenure at Venetian Gardens was marked by her appreciation for the guaranteed schedule, enabling her to maintain a fulfilling work-life balance. Her proudest achievements include raising her children single-handedly, instilling in them values of strength, independence, and reliability, alongside earning her nursing degree. As she bids farewell, Jean's favorite color, green, symbolizes the growth and resilience she embodies.
Venetian Gardens will miss Jean's compassionate care and unwavering dedication. Wishing her the very best in all her future endeavors!
